I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don’t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don’t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don’t count me as anti – immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.

Just remeber the core group (only 10/12 people) are not the only persons affected by backlog and retrogression. So even if they work for their own benefits, that will indirectly benefit people like you and me. Instead of screwing the core group, why don't you ask them how you may offer your service to IV.

You cannot port your I-140 to the new company. So, your H1B will also get affected as it extn is based on the underlying I-140. The only way you can accomplish moving to company B is by filing for I-485 while still at Company A (if your dates are current), wait for 6 months and then, use the AC21 provision.
This is just my view. There might be better ways but, that is the only one I can think right now.

WTF are you talking about, man??? It was said hundreds times: once one use EAD, h(is|er) H(1|4) is GONE!!! Per my lawyer, if you filed H1 extension before expiration, you are ok, in this case ext. filing date make sense.
H1 status does end when you use the EAD, but that does not mean that you can never ever go back to H1. By getting a new petition, or your extension approved, and possibly having to re-enter the US, you can reactivate the H1 anytime. Its not all a one-way street.

Out of 105960 filed applications, 79,782 applications have been certified, and Indians have 22,298, which is almost 28 % (DOL certified EB petitions).
I was looking at the flcdatacenter website for Perm labors filed in 2006, and here are the numbers of total perm filed :
Total : 105960
India : 26636 = 25.2%
China : 8222 = 7.75%
No wonder china is moving faster in the EB categories

Why not Fragomen clients ? DOL said that they didn't have different audit queues for random or targeted audits. My case will pass 15 months and I was thinking of asking Fragomen clients to query DOL.

The way these companies are run is pathetic. I know a Desi employer who invested his revenues into Tollywood (Telugu) movies. :D Isn�t it amusing?
Most of these movies flopped and he didn't have any money to pay his employees. Some one complained to DOL and they blacklisted the company preventing them from processing anymore H1's or GC's. The Desi employer eventually started another company and went into the whole crappy business again.

Probably his problems are due to H 4 visa situation where as his 140 approved and got EAD.
Option 1) Get work on EAD, send your wife back to India and get her on Follow To Join.
Option 2) H1 transfer, she can stay. Apply labor/140 again and port the 140 priority date apply for 485, when date becomes current.
But option 1 is far far better, even it needs little sacrifise from your spouse point of view.
Or she can continue to stay by switching to F1 status.
Thai is the best way.

AOS applicants are issued advance parole document. The biometrics rule is only for those individuals who are issued re-entry & refugee travel documents.

Q. May an I-131 applicant for a re-entry permit or refugee travel document complete biometrics outside of the United States?
A. Form I-131 instructions provide guidance for certain persons who are abroad at the time of filing to visit a U.S. Embassy or consulate for fingerprinting, although all applicants are urged to file before leaving the United States. Since certain overseas offices have the discretion to accept and adjudicate applications for refugee travel documents, although it is not mandatory that they do so, an applicant for a refugee travel document may complete biometrics outside of the United States, but is encouraged to wait to travel until his or her biometrics have been collected and the document delivered. As discussed earlier, certain overseas USCIS offices may, in their discretion, adjudicate Form I-131 filed for a refugee travel document (but not re-entry permits), where the applicant has failed to apply while in the U.S. (see 8 C.F.R. � 223.2(b)(2)(ii)). One of my close friend and her husband both had Greencard. She delivered baby in India in 2002. They were not able to get their son to US. They tried visitors visa for the baby but the consulate rejected the visa. The baby is still in India with his grandparents. They filed for his greencard (family based). They are counting days to get their son to US. He is already 6 years old. It is very tough for the parents and kid. I am not sure about the other options that people has mentioned. But I see my friend family directly who are facing this problem. I don't think it is a good idea.

Got the cards in the mail. My online case status says the application is still pending.

Check with your attorney, in your mail boxes along with the online USCIS case status. You may get the good news in your mail box or from your attorney's office before your status is updated online.
This is what my attorney had to say:
The USCIS online status system is maintained by contract workers and is often inaccurate.
My Online status got updated today. Snail mail is faster than email - happens only with USCIS. Anyways, my journey is over. Good luck to others.

I don't think Americans are that short sighted or narrow minded to want to steal your social security money. I know, i read a lot of press releases on how their social security is in a mess. They will fix it. I have no doubt about it.
Who thought India would be in such a limelight and then go on to be economic power before year 2000?
In a short span of 6-7 years the whole world changed. Coming to social security, by the time you will be in need of Social security, it will be decades and that is lot of time for a change. Who knows, we may be even taking a flight to Mars or worse 'nuked'.
Just be positive and drink a high gravity beer.

Good find...Something is happening...So GCs for most of us soon without the need for any visa number availability rule? One can only wait N watch...
Nothing to get excited about. As far as I know, USCIS definition of backlog does not include cases waiting for visa number availability...But surely, this will be a great relief for people whose dates have been current for a long time but for some reason USCIS has put their cases under admin processing...

Guys,
I have approved EB3 LC and approved I 140 with PD JAN 2002. My wife has approved EB2 LC (Perm) and Approved I 140 with PD JAN 2006
As we represent one family can't my wife use my PD and apply I 485 under EB2.

I have approved EB3 LC and approved I 140 with PD JAN 2002. My wife has approved EB2 LC (Perm) and Approved I 140 with PD JAN 2006
As we represent one family can't my wife use my PD and apply I 485 under EB2.
