06/05/08. Previous editions will be accepted only for medical exams conducted before August 1, 2008. Medical exams conducted on or after August 1, 2008, require use of the 06/05/08 edition (link at bottom of page).
Goto www.uscis.gov and click on 'Immigration Forms' and scroll down for I-693.
I guess that's the only hope I have. I'll keep you all posted.

You will be extremely lucky to get any student loans without a US citizen/GC co-signer. I tried it in 2005 and had to get a co-signer. Now with economy tanking it will be tough sell without a co-signer. So do not waste lot of time in searching for student loans in US.
As for credit cards, new laws passed by congress will not come into effect until July 2010. So until then credit card companies can screw you left and right. That beast is best not to deal with. Do not trust any lifetime APRs or anything from credit card companies. They can jack up your rates for no reason. There are no laws protecting consumers. Do not become another statistics in their game. No amount of credit card arbitrage justifies the time it needs.
You can try HELOC if you have equity in your house.
In my opinion even if you are paying 13.5%, it is best to keep student loans from banks. You can put them in deferment 6months post graduation or until you find a job. If you lose a job then you can get extension of deferment later down the road. The advantages associated with student loans are priceless. In the last couple of years, FMGs from UK started applying for residency programmes in the US and they had an edge over FMG from India or Pakistan and there has been stringent competition. I have heard residencies rejecting FMGs with scores 99, 99, 99 in USMLE all steps on basis that though they have the best possible scores, they do not have clinical experience.
There is a huge demand for doctors in underserved areas and the supply is far less than the demand but then very little is being done on this side.

now a days that test is mandatory for all Asian countries. If you did master's in US then you no need to take that test. in their website there is a point calculation chart for the points that you get in IELTS the corresponding points for canada pr. If won't take that test mostly they will reject the application if you are from Asia.

For the record I do not have a problem. Employer is a very large company and I have worked in the same location for close to 10 years with a well maintained LCA history. So chill. My eyes are wide open in matters important to me.
The reason for being pissed is that these bull issues are manufactured for a commercial reason (by ) and with the express purpose to distract from the main and important goals for advocacy to solve this frustrating retrogession problem.

It all depends on how you look at it. Under the h1b program anyone is a indentured slave, just not indian software engineers. There are good consulting companies and do pay well.

This seems to be perception based on what people hear or see, but in reality, if the person is capable and good, he/she does not have issues with employer/ nor does employer has issues with the person. While Desi consulting companies seem to stretch rules and have their own ways of handling business, they are also a part of the system. They act like a feeder to system, acting as buffer between layoffs and also specialize in immigration and can be really flexible at times and also give you a share of the billing rates which is not possible in a permanant job where there is career stagnation and lack of mobility.

I am exactly in the same situation.....EB2, I40 approved, PD June 2006, and filed 485 in the july 2007 mess... I changed my job immediately after 6 months passed in March 2008....I have not informed USCIS about job change (AC21)......and my port of entry was Washington DC (IAD) airport......
I have travellled twice using the AP, once in April 2008 and once in December 2009.....went through typical two step exit process from immigration......first time, I was asked who do I work for ---- I told the name of the new company and said I used to work for XX compnay (filing company).....no follow up questions or documents were asked for.....second time no questions at all.....
Both times, I got a feel from what they were checking is that all they check is whether your I-485 is pending or not in their system......

Did you notice any LUD's on your case in September?..i got an RFE for my Spouse in August and responded on September 2nd after that there is Soft LUD almost every day but no status change..on my case no LUD's or what so ever last LUD was on 08/19 the day when i did my FP that's it..Guys i am frustated and feeling some how that i will miss this bus... called USCIS IO told me that both the cases are with officer not sure how reliable inof that is..Opened SR on September 3rd..guys please suggest me what else i can do:confused::confused::mad::mad::mad:

--RFE has been answered with sufficient documents and awaiting a response.

I read/hear that since there is a 2 month period with no paystubs, I might get an approval for I-797 but without I-94. In such a case what actions should be taken.

For respond for the RFE...if they are asking for paystub and if you are not able to provide the same, they will deny the H1B. In that case you need to leave the country. If they are giving without I-94. Need to go out of the country, get stamping and come back.

While in the process of filing for labor certification my company has found 2 suitable citizens who are eligible for the job.
Now what are my options going forward and how does this affect my chances of a successful PERM filing ??
I'm filing in EB3 category right now. Also I need to file for labor before oct since my H1 will expire its original 6 year length next Oct (Oct 2010).
It appears that you have not realized that you have been admitted in this country for work because there was no US Citizen available to do the same work.
As you have agreed that two US Citizens are available, you must give them the oppertunity.
If not, not only you are but your company is also in trouble.

I have not done AC21 yet. My join date is September 2nd. I am kind of planning to not file AC21.
Is your current employer supportive with respect to revoking 140 ? It looks like, you are doing H1 not using EAD ?
