I am also in the same boat called USCIS today ...she asked me to call back in next monday or check daily for checks cashed or not.

These kind of agreements doesnt stand in any court .You can always say that you are forced to sign for your livelihood period.Esp. if he is a desi employer he even doesnt dare to go to court as that will cause more damage.
Do you know the cost of defending suit? You have to prove the statements too.
Search for law cases in PA/NJ and you will SHOCKED to see many desi employers who have sued their employees.

I don't find anything wrong with that, there are more important social issues than spending time on greencard seeker forums......Atleast 1 attorney who explained it elaborately was Ron Gotcher, you can check on his website for that info...

From October 2005 to September 2006 (it was around 10,500)
For the period October 2006 to September 2007 (someone want tofind it; it was more then 7%)

Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...
So here is a chance for everyone to contribute to our own goal. Lets keep this going. Who ever is interested pls reply. I will do a final count after 2 days as suggested and take it from there....

Sometimes reading posts that say IV core is selfish also disappoints us. People do not know the effort that goes in getting anything done. I agree. I think each of us should commit to getting AT LEAST 5 more volunteers for the protest in San Jose. This could be family/friends/neighbors etc. We also need a poll to track how many will show up on the 14th.

My Checks are encased on Saturday 09/15th. My Applications received nebraska on July 20th. Since My I-140 is from Texas, the case transferred to Texas.

How about framing a letter and getting 5000 copies through a printing press for $125/- and send it to all the lawmakers, press media. We have done a flyier campaign for IV how about a flyer campaign again.
:) The stamps would be getting expensive, Buy it today or tommorrow from Costco (100 forever stamps for 41 dollars:(
It is true that country quota is a discrimination. But when you just try to remove the country quota other country persons are going to oppose as they will be impacted if country quota is removed. But if you try with other agenda like recapture then opposition may not be strong and also every one will get benefit.

If anyone's I140 is pending at NSC, they thinks otherwise. You will feel other lanes are fast except one which you are. :D it's humane nature and It's ok to vent. you will feel better.;)
But the whole process of sending to NSC and then transferring it to TSC is ridiculous..just waste of resources and time. Althought, they have realized the mistake and now allowing for direct filing.

You should be proud of what you are doing. Even if you dont do a great job, You should try your best and you should still believe that you are doing it to the best of your ability and no one can do it better. But the way you talk, you seem to be a big loser and one of those, who feel lucky to have got your H1B. Probably, USA wont lose anything when one some like you leave. But Dont talk for the folks here. If you think you are below average, thanks for accepting it. Anyway, we would have known that from your shameless post. Group of EB3 & EB2 folks should take an appointment with DOS Chief first and then with USCIS's Chief. How can we do this ?We will discuss our concerns or interpretations and changes to work towards to clear backlogs or increase Quotas or Visa Recapture..etc. I am in for any group's concerns though I am in EB3.Category does not matter. India is the hardest hit in EB based Immgiration. Let me know How we can get to the attention of the TOP/Key Persons.

Here is what you do,
1. Do not talk to them on phone
2. Send them a letter stating keeping your salary is against law. If they think you owe them the money, send you a letter explaining why they think the money is owed and how much, state that filing of labor is a cost to the company and not to the employee as per DOL
3. Give them a time limit of 30 days.
4. Ask them to send all the correspondence to your home address.
5. Send them a letter with some kind signature rcpt.
Wait and see, If they have a real claim then they will respond to you otherwise they will send your money.
